Join the MAD Basketball Academy Coaching Team

Are you passionate about mentoring young athletes and shaping the future of basketball? MAD Basketball Academy is looking for dedicated volunteer coaches to join our program and help develop the next generation of elite players.

Why Coach with Us?

At MAD Basketball Academy, we believe in providing young athletes with the highest level of training, competition, and mentorship. As a volunteer coach, you’ll have the opportunity to work with talented athletes, gain valuable coaching experience, and make a lasting impact on players both on and off the court.

Coaching Requirements

To ensure the best development for our athletes, all Head Coaches must:

 

Additionally, interested Head Coaches must be:

  • At least 21 years old to coach a high school team

  • At least 18 years old to coach a middle school team

Coaching Benefits

While this is a volunteer position, MAD Basketball Academy covers transportation and hotel accommodations for coaches traveling with their teams. Coaches must travel together and be willing to share hotel rooms with one or more fellow coaches.

  • Conduct myself in a dignified manner relating to emotions, language, attitude and actions.

  • Act at all times to protect the principles of fun, safety and development of all athletes.

  • Demonstrate respect for the ability of opponents as well as for the judgment of referees, officials and opposing coaches.

  • Display control and professionalism at all times under any circumstance.

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person, including opponents, other coaches, officials, administrators, parents, athletes, and spectators. 

  • Refrain from physical contact with athletes except where necessary for the development of the athletes’ skill(s) or athletic ability. 

  • Provide an opportunity for all athletes to play the sport.

  • Ensure that equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are appropriate to the level of the athletes. 

  • Seek to learn the latest coaching practices that take into account the principles of growth and development of athletes.

  • Agree to abide by all applicable USA Basketball rules and regulations, including USA Basketball’s SafeSport policy.
